SERAFIN SOUNDS OF SEPTEMBER - SEASON OPENS 9/10
The Serafins' first concert of the season is on Thursday, 9/10, presented by PhilaLandmarks
at the historic Hill-Physick House in Old City Philadelphia. Hear WONDERFUL WINDS! at either 5pm or
7:30pm. A reception will take place between the two performances. Listeners will hear a duo by Beethoven for the
two winds, and a perfectly-crafted blend with strings, in Mozart's Oboe Quartet and in a Bassoon Quartet
by François Devienne (one of Mozart's contemporaries).

We return to Wilmington on Friday, 9/11, joined by the superb baritone, Grant Youngblood for
REFLECTIONS and REMEMBRANCES. The concert includes Barber's Dover Beach, as well as works by
Beethoven (his piano sonata, "Les Adieux"); Strauss (Morgen for baritone, violin and piano); a
beautiful work by Loeffler for oboe, viola, and piano; and works by Schubert and Butterworth.
